Conferences & Conventions - Transport & Weather

COMING AND GOING

Being centrally located means that we're not far from anywhere, and everywhere is close to us.
Which makes coming and going very easy indeed, by which ever form of transport you choose, or whenever you need to travel.

PLANES

Albury Wodonga is one of Australia 's busiest regional airports, serviced by QantasLink, Regional Express and Brindabella Airlines, providing multiple daily flights and connections to Melbourne, Sydney , Canberra and all other major regional destinations.
The airport is also very conveniently situated a brisk five minutes from the city centre of Albury and fifteen minutes from Wodonga. It's also important to note that the regional airlines offer conference groups up to 50% discount on all airfares into Albury. Conference airfares also provide delegates with considerable flexibility of arrival and departure times.

TRAINS

We're conveniently located on the major rail link between Sydney and Melbourne, with CountryLink providing express services between the two capital cities. VLine also provides various regional services between Albury Wodonga and Melbourne.

AND AUTOMOBILES

Travelling by road, in a car or coach, is convenient, comfortable and safe. Five major highways - The Hume Highway, Olympic Way, Riverina Highway, Murray Valley Highway and the Kiewa Valley Highway - converge on Albury Wodonga, linking us with Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and all the major regional centres of Victoria and New South Wales.

All the major car rental companies are represented in Albury Wodonga, as well as several excellent coach companies that operate from capital cities and regional centres around Australia . There are also comprehensive local bus and taxi services providing easy, fast transport between the cities.

A WORD ABOUT OUR WEATHER

Our region has a Mediterranean climate, which means that the changes of season are quite vivid.
We have hot, dry Summers ( cooler in the Alpine regions ) mild Autumns and springs, and cool Winters. We enjoy long stretches of clear, blue skies in Summer, and crisp sunny days in Winter. In fact, we get as many hours of sunshine as they do on the Gold Coast in Queensland . Which means that you can come here any time of the year and enjoy lots of sunny times touring around or just relaxing in our magnificent countryside. > Current Weather & Forecast
